2009-2010 Policies and Procedures
Weather We follow
the Liberty School district inclement weather policies during the winter season months. If the Liberty Public Schools
are cancelled for the day due to bad weather the gym and studio will be closed as well. You can also check the
website at www.dancelineimage.com or www.imageallstars.com for updates later in the day if weather gets bad after school has let out. You can also watch fox4 total school closings. A
message will run across the bottom of the screen in the business section. You can alway call the school office 1 hour
prior to your child's class time to double check for school closings as well.. 816.792.4372 Every student
has the opportunity to schedule a makeup class for canceled classes due to winter weather school closings. Please check
with your child’s teacher to find the best suitable class day/time for a make up class. Please be aware that some months
we may only meet 2-5 times in that month. If a class meets less than 4 times a month, you can also schedule a make up class
for your child. Tuition will not be discounted due to short months. Registration At the time of enrollment a registration/waiver form must
be signed before the student can participate in classes. An annual registration fee is due at the time of enrollment.
Upon enrollment you will receive a complimentary studio t-shirt. Registration Fee One
Child $25.00
$20.00 for each additional child Payment We are proud to announce
that DLI now provides the following payment methods: secure online payment, bank transfers, credit /debit cards, checks and
cash. Please deposit in person payments into the DLI payment box located in the lobby. Checks All checks should be made out to DLI or Dance Line Image or Image All-Stars depending upon which program you are
participating in. Make sure checks contain your driver’s license number, your date of birth and the child’s
full name on the memo line. Cash If you are depositing cash please insert money into an envelope listing the amount and hand directly to Mrs. Wendy
or Ms. Nadia . If neither are available please take the unsealed envelope and hand to a DLI instructor. You will then count
the money with the instructor seal the envelope, both you and the instructor will sign for the amount and deposit
into the payment box located in the lobby. The instructor should then give you a payment receipt. Bank Transfers Download
on-line form , fill it out and return to Dance Line Image or Image All-Stars through email , sealed and placed in the
payment box or handed directly to Mrs. Wendy or Ms. Nadia . Cancellations You must withdraw from one and/or all classes with written notice by the 15th of the month to receive the prorated
amount. All cancellation requests received after this date will be charged for the entire month. Cancellation forms
are available upon request. For record keeping purposes and to ensure the appropriate amount is charged only written request
will be honored (email request are an acceptable written form). Missed Classes Any time or for any reason a student is absent from class please call the school office, so that all teachers
will be advised of there absence. Make up classes will be available to students for each absence. Please see your child’s
teacher for times and dates to schedule your child‘s make up. Missed classes will not be prorated. If your child misses a full month
you will still be charged the full tuition in order to maintain their spot in the class. It is the responsibility of
the parent to schedule make-up classes. Classroom Etiquette Do
not chew gum or candy during class. Do not make unnecessary conversation or noise especially while your instructor is
working with another individual. Maintain and keep clean your classroom, avoiding fingerprints and mirror smudges, etc. Pay
attention to your instructor and stay alert for the entire dance class. Keep yourself and your dance equipment neat and clean
at all times. Use deodorant daily. Be punctual and attend classes regularly. If the instructor is cleaning up, reorganizing
the studio, or answering questions from a previous class still enter the classroom at scheduled time. Respect your art, your
instructor and fellow dancers. Practice! Conferences If you wish
at anytime to discuss your student’s progress or other issues please contact the studio so a meeting or phone conversation
can be scheduled at your earliest convience. Attire Please make sure that your child is dressed in appropriate clothing that allows
for movement and flexibility. Jazz and Ballet clothing should be form fitted to allow teacher s to monitor body lines. Please
see individual Instructor for specific clothing requirements. On your child’s first class they will be measured for
their dance shoes. If their size is in stock the first night of classes, you are more than welcome to purchase and take them
home that evening. If we need to order your shoes, payment is required and shoes should be at your child’s next class.
Please check with your child's instructor for specific needs on dance attire in the classroom. Food and Drink Snacks and water
will be available for purchase in the lobby . Please keep all food in the lobby area NO FOOD is
allowed in the dance studio. Personal Property The studio can not be responsible for personal property! Please don’t
leave purses, dance bags or any other belongings unattended in the waiting rooms or dance rooms. We suggest your name be written
in the tags of all garments. Please do not bring valuable jewelry or money to classes. Teacher
Absence As the majority of our teachers
are still working professionals there will be times in which they will be unable to teach class. In these instances a well
qualified substitute instructor will take over the class.
